Study Hints at Paxil Tie to Birth Defects

Study Hints at Paxil Tie to Birth Defects - Yahoo! News

Now, having a child born with a birth defect because of the anti-depressant you're using would be really depressing.

MyPyramid.gov - United States Department of Agriculture - For Kids

Okay, I like games, and I'm just one big old kid. Yes, grown-ups can benefit from this game, too.

If you don't fuel up right, you can't blast off. Figure out how to fuel up right so you can... BLAST OFF!

The cool thing about this game is that you can actually improve your diet and exercise habits from what you learn as you play.

And, I like the "Mission Control"-type soundtrack...

Desperate Housewives - Site and Recap of the First Show of the Season

Desperate Housewives

If you're like me and were busy last Sunday night... I'm sharing this with you. I just had to find out what happened, well, not really, but, you know...

Actor Don Adams of TV's 'Get Smart' Dies

Actor Don Adams of TV's 'Get Smart' Dies on Yahoo! News Photos

"Would you believe...?"

"Get Smart" was a very funny show - but what else could it be with Mel Brooks and Buck Henry as its writers.

The actors were excellent, too. Don Adams did a great job as the not-so-smart Agent Smart.

Wonderful bit: those billions of doors - big doors, different kinds of doors - that Smart had to enter at the beginning of the show.

Smart's shoe phone precursor to today's cellphone?

Uh, sorry about that...

Estrogen Not Effective After Menopause

Estrogen Not Effective After Menopause - Yahoo! News

Yes, stay away from HRT. It's nasty stuff.

I still like the menopause advice given by a retired acquaintance: walk, lots of walking.

It may not solve all that ails ya, but it helps and is so healthy for you, anyway.

Katrina survivor found in New Orleans home [apologizes for his housekeeping]

Katrina survivor found in New Orleans home - Yahoo! News

Good news! and surprising after all this time.

I think we can all excuse him for his housekeeping not being up to standard at this time.

The man said he stayed indoors because he was afraid of it "out there" (my quotes). Can't say I blame him, I can see his point.

He wondered why he wasn't getting his mail...

Check out the "header" graphic to this store

It's October Breast Cancer Awareness Time!

Accordingly, I've added a graphic "Breast Cancer Sucks"

It does.

As for the "sucks" part, yes, that has a double meaning to this mom who breastfed three children, then wound up with breast cancer.

What was the deal with that? Yeah, it sucks(ed).

So, double meaning...

Sucks = stinks

Sucks = what breasts are really all about
(Come on, admit it! That's what God/Nature put them there for. Just like with cows and other female mammals. Mammals, mammary glands, mas, mamas...)

Anyway, get your mammogram and your other gyn/OB exams. It saved my life, maybe it'll save yours. No kidding! Just go, get it done. Every year.

What really, really sucks are the women who DIE from it. Yeah, get your exams, and let's get a cure.

Changes in the brain may explain teenage troubles

Changes in the brain may explain teenage troubles - Yahoo! News

This would explain the "temporary insanity" that seems to come upon ~13-year-olds. (Yes, I include myself at that age.)

A child in charge of `6 babies' - Yahoo! News

Wow - can you imagine a six-year-old taking care of an infant and five toddlers?

Scary!

Another Hurricane Katrina story. Happily, this story does end well.

Actually, this applies to many things. Consider it.
